In Observance of Veterans Day, the Lenox Housing Will be Closed November 11, 2024
The Lenox Housing Authority is a state-aided housing authority under the direction of the Massachusetts Department of Housing & Community Development. The Lenox Housing Authority consists of 102 housing units for the elderly/handicapped at The Curtis and Turnure Terrace and 8 Family units.
The board of Commissioners is comprised of four town elected members and one state appointed member.
ALL LENOX HOUSING AUTHORITY PROPERTIES ARE NON-SMOKING
It is the mission of the Lenox Housing Authority to:
Provide affordable and safe housing through the maintenance of our existing units and the development of new units.
To create an environment which enables residents to live responsibly and with dignity.
To support residents in their effort to achieve self-sufficiency.
To honor public commitments in a fiscally and ethically responsible manner.
To create and maintain public confidence in the Authority's operations and staff.
To ensure that the facilities managed by the L.H.A. are marketable in the community and are appealing to residents.
To enable the L.H.A. staff to improve their performance through appropriate vision, training, and career development.
To establish performance goals that meet or exceed industry standards and that optimize the use of available resources to achieve our performance objectives.
To assist the town in identifying and addressing housing needs.
